Wanda Kenton Smith is our Director of Marketing. An international and national award winning marketing veteran and a degreed journalist and editor, Wanda brings more than 32 years of solid marine marketing experience to Legendary Marine including extensive work at both the manufacturer and dealer/retail level. She manages all aspects of Legendary Marine's marketing activities for all dealership locations. Prior to coming aboard here, she owned and operated a $20 million advertising and PR firm in Central Florida with 30+ national and global accounts. She was formerly vice president of marketing for a major boat manufacturer for 11 years, plus served as editor of two national consumer boating magazines and three trade newsletters. She is president of Marine Marketers of America, a member of Boating Writers International, and an in-demand speaker at national marine conferences around the country.
Matthew Kuka is our Marketing Coordinator and our resident graphics and social media guru. Matt handles the design for our extensive advertising program, ranging from eblasts and newsletters, to print and digital ads, boat show and yard signage, to Tweets and daily Facebook posts. Matt is also point on our website, and involved in a variety of special event activities. Matt is an excellent photographer who shoots many of our events. He is a degreed journalist in visual communications from UCF, with a second degree in advertising from UWF.
Melissa Tomlin is our Marketing Specialist who supports a bevy of marketing department initiatives. Melissa is the primary contact for the dealership's extensive online advertising activity, serving as liaison to the sales departments and ensuring boats are uploaded and removed upon sale on a timely basis. Melissa is also involved in boat show theme planning and development, as well as special event coordination. She assists with a variety of administrative functions including assisting our director, plus researching and updating databases, merchandising/point of sale and media research. She is studying for a marketing degree at Northwest Florida State College.
