From a luxurious Sky Lounge and flybridge with its 360-degree views to an accommodation suite with four cabins and four beautifully equipped bathrooms, plus crews quarters, the Riviera 73 Motor Yacht is a stylish and comfortable long-distance cruiser.
Built to take on the oceans of the world, the hull is hand laid-up fibreglass, moulded in one piece with longitudinal and transverse stringers and a gelcoat finish in white colour. The bottom section is laminated with vinylester resin for the first two layers with polyester resin for the other layers. The side shell of the hull is a sandwich cored structure, utilising infusion technology. Deck and flybridges are cored fibreglass as are floors and bulkheads.
Power options include either V-Drives or triple Volvo Penta IPS-2 systems. The IPS configuration offers a slightly different accommodation layout.
There are watertight bulkheads for engine room and chain locker. The engine room includes a reinforced fibreglass stringer system with steel channels for engine foundations. Specially designed shaft tunnels provide less draft and shaft angle.
The forward deck features a large sun pad, Muir windlass as well as freshwater wash-down.
The Sky Lounge is fully enclosed, with a stainless steel aft bulkhead and opening side windows. An L-shape leather lounge surrounds a timber coffee table. Opposite, on the port side, a wet bar with Corian benchtop, stainless steel sink, mixer tap and storage lockers under-bench lockers. Flooring is teak and holly timber. Entertainment in the Sky Lounge includes an LCD TV as well as Clarion stereo radio and CD player and four speakers. The aft deck of the flybridge is equipped with a Miele electric barbecue, refrigerator and ice maker. This open area can be used to store a tender or PWC or can be equipped with day lounges and a table.
The helm is equipped with a central helm seat with companion seats on either side. The moulded and upholstered helm console includes electronic engine controls with synchroniser, full engine gauges and alarm, Raymarine E120 electronic navigation aids, a sounder, a 72 nautical mile open array Radar, five-inch magnetic compass and hydraulic power steering. Wing engine and thruster controls are also provided.
Access to the flybridge and Sky Lounge is via stairs from the aft deck or an internal spiral staircase linking the Sky Lounge and saloon.
The main saloon is a large open space including the lounge area and galley on one level. There is an option of an L-shaped dinette with fixed seating or a free standing dining table with 8 chairs.
Interior fitout is in cherry, beech or teak timber with satin finish and high gloss horizontal surfaces. The area - except for the galley - is carpeted, with foam underlay.
